I was born on Christmas Eve. An old legend states that people born on that day can talk to animals. I've always felt a special connection with animals, but didn’t trust that I was really talking to them until I started taking classes in 2006 from animal communicator, Terri O'Hara. To my surprise, I found I had a talent for animal communication. When Terri offered a year-long apprenticeship in 2009, I applied and was accepted. Upon completing the apprenticeship I began my own practice, Telling Tails Animal Communication.
My husband John and I live in Denver with two cats (D'Oro and DeChelly) and our Great Dane, Murphy. We have been volunteer Puppy Raisers for Canine Companions since 2001, and we are currently raising Simba, our 17th puppy. (Angus, our 13th puppy, is the smiling yellow Lab in this photo and on my home page.) I work part-time in Denver’s best (and quirkiest) independent bookstore, The Bookies. Hit me up if you need something to read! Besides raising puppies and reading, I enjoy learning Dressage and playing with horses, spending time with friends, and travel.
I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology from the University of New Mexico and a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Iowa.
